Researcher Assistant (Part-time)
Job Description:
Data management and statistical analysis of data collected on human exposure to occupational and environmental agents, medical/epidemiological data obtained from published scientific articles, and disease incidence/mortality data obtained from government and other public databases. Conduct literature searches and critical reviews of scientific articles.
Qualifications:
Facility with Web searches, downloading data, and manipulating electronic data files. Experience with Excel, Word, and statistical analysis software (e.g., NCSS, GAUSS, SAS, CART). Education should include courses in mathematics and advanced statistics with other coursework in the biological sciences or toxicology.
Additional Information:
Office location is Bar Harbor, Maine; working from an off-site location is acceptable. Experience working through an internet connection to a remote computer is essential.
Degree levels/salary:
Bachelor of Science preferred, but all degree levels will be considered. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience, training, and capabilities.
